I had heard about him for many years and knew he had a special gift the ability to potentialize, harmonize and even heal the body, mind and spirit. I knew that wheelchair bound people who wanted to walk again, professional athletes that wanted to play at their highest level, CEO’s that needed a psychological edge, diplomats that needed travel weary bodies revitalized, and even pregnant and young mothers that simply needed tired muscles and frayed nerves soothed came from the far corners of the Earth to be touched by this man.
I believe this man was born with a powerful intuition, and an innate understanding of the spiritual and metaphysical dimensions of life. These inborn qualitiestogether with his life experienceare foundational to his character and the development of his mission. He is in service to his work rather than vice versa. His powerful but compassionate communication style and generous behavior display the humility of an authentic leader. He is also a part of the growing anti-aging movement. At 82, he is proof that physical mastery and emotional and spiritual excellence are available to anyone at any age. This somatic pioneer is a masterful practitioner of this multifaceted approach to life extension, and his work should be an important part of any effective life extension program. He is Mark Lamm and his life work is BioSync.
Since 1945, Mark Lamm has consulted and worked with individuals and groups in the areas of bio-movement, mental and physical performance enhancement and life extension practices. Passionately committed to vital health, longevity, and enhancing human potential in himself and people of all ages, he has a diverse background as a researcher, developer, and teacher of peak performance principles. Focusing on technologies to improve functioning, Mark has spent more than 40 years developing the BioSync method, a deep tissue approach to somatics based upon the expressions of natural health as well as a deeply held spiritual worldview. Through this revolutionary new paradigm in bodywork, Mark has revealed a marvelous template for comprehending the physiological and psychological aspects of the body’s intended architecture. He brings a deep knowledge of the ancient, organic and natural biomechanics and dynamics of the body-mind to the work of this unique visionary approach.
Through the BioSync Research Institute, overseen by Mark and his wife Leah Lamm, he trains consultants and maintains a private practice with a worldwide client base of entertainers, politicians, celebrities, athletes, and Fortune 500 executives. For many, BioSync has been an extraordinary alternative to drugs, surgery, rehabilitation and living with pain. BioSync is endorsed by professional athletes, doctors, chiropractors and other health professionals.

BioSync in the Press

If there's a theme to today's top pro's pre-event preparation
it's this ongoing quest for maximum flexibility. They're
reaching for it in many different ways, from Fanning
and Taylor Knox's daily yoga and surf routines to other,
more experimental paths toward optimal looseness. Like
BioSync, a form of deep-massage therapy hailed by surfers
like Shane Beschen, Knox and Slater. According to Beschen,
it turned his life around, and was a key component in
him rediscovering his top "CT-level form. Slater's also
a firm believer, saying it bridges the gap between the
emotional and physical and leaves you feeling drained
and reinvigorated at the same time. "If you get real
intense with it," he claims, "your body would definitely
be in the best physical form it's been in years".
Surfing - May 2004

In
Sync. The body's connective tissue is a storehouse for emotional pain, stress,
and anxiety. As a result, collagen, a protein that adds strength and elasticity
to the tissue, twists into spirals and eventually hardens, causing muscular
imbalance, inflexible joints, impinged nerves, and a general "shrinking" of the
body.An alternative to traditional rehabilitation therapies, the somatic art of
BioSync (Bio meaning "life" and Sync, "harmony") offers a unique way to
permanently unlock these physiological memories. A combination of diverse
Eastern and Western healing systems, this bodywork technique uses deep tissue
penetration, [lengthening] and "unwinding" - a spiral motion that releases the
cross-linked collagen --- to restore mobility."The physiological patterns our
bodies have memorized from past experiences often prevent us from enjoying
complete health today. When the unwinding takes place, there's immediate access
to physical, emotional, and mental resources not previously available"

TALK
TO THE DOCTOR
CAVE D.R.'s FITNESS & HEALTH FOR SURFING: Chris Ward
Cave Dr:
What've you done since the injury to try and heal it
back to 100?
Chris: Well, the event in France was the first time in 6 months that I
could surf without an ankle brace. I'm finally able to surf two-hour sessions
again. It's been very frustrating because I love being in the water and I hate
having to hold back. I like to surf 5 or 6 hours a day.
Cave Dr: So it's mostly just been surfing for you...any other
forms of therapy or activity to help the healing process?
Chris: I'm doing this treatment called BioSync. It's a deep tissue
form of bodywork that helps the blood return to the injured area of your body.
Cave Dr: Is it painful?
Chris: It can be for sure, but it's worth it. The results are amazing.
It's a very powerful form of therapy.
Cave Dr: Anything else?
Chris: Being as the ankle is weight-bearing, it doesn't support a lot of
activities that I'd like to do. So I'm just surfing as much as I can, getting
BioSync treatments, and then letting it rest. Also I do some stretching in
between.
Cave Dr.: So as you're leaving for the 'CT in Brazil today, how does it
feel?
Chris: This is the best I've felt since I got injured last April.
I'd say I'm about 80% and I hope to be 100% by the start of the tour next year
in March on the Goldy.
